The Ifugao State College of Agriculture and Forestry (ISCAF) was established to provide higher education, research and extension in agriculture, forestry, education, IT and other fields. It places emphasis on acquiring knowledge and skills to make the students productive while keeping in mind the conservation of Ifugao’s unique agro-ecosystem and cultural heritage.

Ifugao’s curriculum is focused on a range of key goals, including: the pursuit of academic excellence, broadening access to higher education, improved student academic performance and promotion of student welfare, improved research capabilities that encourage publications and other creative work, development and implementation of relevant extension programs, development of viable income generating projects, and improved administrative efficiency and financial management systems.

As a State College, ISCAF is mandated to implement a National Service Training Program (NSTP) for all first and second year college students. This Program entails the conduct of community activities by the students. It is envisaged that a program on environmental conservation and protection be developed as part of the NSTP curriculum of the College, and will be the focus of the AYAD’s assignment.
