The Partido State University (PSU), San Jose Campus is a state university established in 2001. The campus offers a number of degrees such as in tourism, hotel and restaurant management, civil engineering, and Arts. The San Jose Campus aims to provide quality education and to produce competent graduates who can compete globally. These objectives are anchored on the four pillars of the University, namely: research, instruction, extension and production.
As part of its extension program, the PSU-San Jose Campus works closely with the local government of San Jose, particularly in the development of the town’s eco-tourism and coastal resource management programs. Currently, PSU has a memorandum of agreement with the local government unit (LGU) of San Jose for the implementation of the San Jose Coastal Eco-Tourism Program. Under this agreement, PSU will provide the LGU with technical assistance towards the development of sustainable coastal eco-tourism programs, primarily through the assistance of its faculty, staff and students. This project shall be the focus of this AYAD assignment.
